Reads of the week – 2012 – 17

Been reading this book the last few days called “the fall of lucifer” by Wendy Alec. Took me 4 days to read the first 50 pages…kept stopping every couple of paragraphs to just go “wow wow wow”. The last 240 pages took me two days. The lack of sleep was worth it.
So good. It’s obviously fiction, but it has a lot of scripture thrown in. But if you don’t believe in the bible and Christian teaching, you can also read it as just a story.
Really loved the book. I think sometimes, because we’ve read it so many times, we kinda just gloss over it and don’t take it in. This book reminded me of the majesty, and awesomeness, and wonder, and beauty, and greatness, and holiness, and LOVE of God.
It might not hit you the same way…maybe it hit me that way because of where I am currently in my walk with God, but I would definitely recommend it.
